Circle of Friends, Inc.

is a non profit organization in Sheboygan County and our purpose is to provide basic needs such as food, clothing, and educational items to families who lack the financial resources to secure these necessities. Around the holidays,  we also receive many requests for holiday gifts for families who have few or no extra resources for such items.  We rely on recommendations from the Sheboygan Area School District staff and the Department of Human Resources staff to assist us in becoming aware of families that are in need of our assistance. When a staff member becomes aware of a student’s or family’s needs they complete a request form. (Families may not self-refer.) Once completed, the request form is returned to the building administrator/supervisor for review and then forwarded to the Circle of Friends, Inc. Board members review the requests and decide how to best assist each family. We operate by providing purchase orders to local businesses. The purchase orders list the types of items the family may purchase and the maximum dollar amount they may spend.  Together we can offer the children in our community a helping hand through the Circle of Friends, Inc.  Contact Lois McHenry at 208-1525.
