The Festival of Trees is presented by Festival of Trees (Sheboygan Count), Inc.. The organization is composed of a volunteer board of directors and approximately 50 people active in steering committees that plan and execute the details of the Festival. Planning for the Festival goes on year round.
While numerous communities have holiday events with perhaps similar goals or names, we operate locally and entirely independently of them.
Our Mission Statement
"The mission of the Festival of Trees is to provide annually a community supported exhibition of decorated holiday items produced for the purpose of raising money for local charities and providing enjoyment for the citizens."
Goals
 | To serve as a fund raiser for selected Sheboygan County charities which
provide fundamental services to children and families.
| To provide an enjoyable holiday occasion for people of all ages and
economic means while maintaining the historical integrity of the Festival of
Trees as a secular event.
| To establish and maintain an organizational structure for the Festival of
Trees that provides for its future continuity.
| To become the premiere holiday event in Sheboygan County. | |
Event Sponsorship
The Sheboygan Press and Wells Fargo Bank are the event co-sponsors of the Festival of Trees. Each year the board of directors (Mike Knuth, The Sheboygan Press; Michael DeLany, President Wells Fargo Bank in Sheboygan; and Nancy Verstrate, community representative) choose the recipient charities for that year's Festival of Trees.
