GINGERBREAD VILLAGE
One of the highlights of each year's holiday presentation continues to be the beautiful Gingerbread Village created through the talent and generosity of local bakers and hobbyists. Each year the Village transforms simple candy and cake creations into amazingly decorated works of art. Many times a group has joined together to fashion an “edible” piece of the past or a vision of the wonders of the holiday season. Gingerbread Village Committee members emphasize that entries need not be done by “professionals”. Amateurs are encouraged to contribute their gingerbreads, which will be auctioned and raffled off to help raise money for this year’s charities.
It is important to note that groups or families, as well as individuals are
welcome to demonstrate their creative efforts to the thousands who attend this
holiday showcase. Participation is not limited to the business
community, and individuals are encouraged to try their talents.
